Satisfaction with current recognition programs varied, ranging from 'Very dissatisfied' to 'Very satisfied.' This highlights the importance of regularly reviewing and enhancing existing recognition strategies to match employees' expectations.
Reward preferences also varied among employees. While some were motivated by gift cards, bonus pay, and promotions, others valued extra vacation days and training opportunities.
Personalized recognition was deemed essential by most participants, who acknowledged its positive impact on job satisfaction and motivation.
Additionally, participants identified specific behaviors and accomplishments deserving of recognition, such as meeting or exceeding goals, innovation, teamwork, going above and beyond job responsibilities, and outstanding customer service.
