Foreign language learning has always been an intriguing and daunting task for many students, especially those in grade 12. To shed some light on the difficulty level faced by these students, we conducted a survey titled 'Difficulty Level in Foreign Language of Grade 12 Students'.
The purpose of this survey was to collect data on the challenges encountered by grade 12 students in learning a foreign language. A total of 20 questions were designed to understand the students' perspectives and experiences.
The survey begins by asking the students about their experience in studying the foreign language. It examines the duration of their language learning journey, ranging from less than a year to more than three years.
Moving on, the survey explores the specific aspects of the language that students find most challenging. Options include listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. By providing multiple choices, we aim to identify the areas that demand more attention in the curriculum.
In addition to multiple-choice questions, we also included open-ended questions to gather detailed insights from the students. These questions enable respondents to express their specific difficulties and the strategies they use to overcome them. It also offers a platform for students to suggest improvements or additional resources they would like to have in their language learning journey.
Acknowledging the importance of motivation and engagement, our survey enquires about the students' confidence in their language communication skills and their level of interest in the language class.
To evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, the survey asks students whether they feel adequately prepared for real-life language use and if they receive enough feedback from their teachers.
Furthermore, it considers the resources students find most helpful in improving their language skills, such as textbooks, online resources, language exchange programs, and exposure to native speakers.
To better cater to the needs of the grade 12 students, our survey inquires about their preferred pace of progress in the language class, areas they believe require more focus in the curriculum, and the cultural aspects that interest them the most.
In conclusion, the survey 'Difficulty Level in Foreign Language of Grade 12 Students' aims to provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by grade 12 students in learning a foreign language. By exploring various aspects of language learning, we hope to identify areas where improvements can be made in the curriculum and provide additional support to enhance the language learning experience.
